Drawing II

Five Project Write Up

"LET GO OF THE LITTLE DISTRACTIONS"
This piece was made based off of a quote I found online and I decided to turn it into a piece because its just a reminder for me to focus on the big goals and to avoid the obstacles that get in the way!
 "THE DARK FLOWER"
This piece was made completely in sharpie. I didn't have any inspiration for this piece other than the fact that my teacher wanted me to draw a flower. I figures everyone would do something bright and vibrant so, of course I had to go against the mainstream!

 "HAVE A HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS"
As you can imagine, this piece was made around the holiday season. This is what I originally thought I was going to leave it as, but I eventually added color to the piece to give it more of the holiday effect. My inspiration came from the radio in my car. My brother was blasting Christmas music and this just happened to get stuck in my head. So this is what came out of it!
 "WHY SO SERIOUS?"
I made this piece was made after the infamous Joker villan from the Batman series. This piece originally started out as a quick sketch to pass time. But, eventually I really got into it and adoing crazy splatter looks in cracks in the face. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this piece and I'm glad to say that I created it!
"MYSTERY GIRL"
So, as you may or may not know, I do a portrait every year and this one I believe surpasses them all. In this sketch I used heavy values and experimented with different grades of graphite. Overall, I'm proud with how well this piece came out. I'll probably end up doing another next year!

Mystery Girl (Project 2)- Drawing II
This is my second project of a woman I sketched. I tried adding lots of value over the whole piece and I think it turned out nice. The only critique I have of it is that I made it in my sketchbook instead of putting it on a separate piece of paper or board.

Memory Tree (Project 1)- Drawing II
This piece was created as my first project for my Drawing 2 class. Overall, I'd say my piece turned out pretty decent; I have no complaints. I made this piece the day after my family put our dog down and so I had to create something that had all the initials in the tree.
